Problems adding mirror

I get an error adding a mirror almost every time. For example:
Dave:msc dave$ braid add git://github.com/rails/acts_as_tree.git vendor/plugins/acts_as_tree
Checking out 'braid/track'.
Adding git mirror of 'git://github.com/rails/acts_as_tree.git', branch 'master'.
Setting up remote for 'vendor/plugins/acts_as_tree/'.
Fetching data from 'braid/git/vendor/plugins/acts-as-tree/master'.
Merging code into 'vendor/plugins/acts_as_tree/'.
Error occured: error: Entry 'vendor/plugins/acts_as_tree/README' overlaps with 'vendor/plugins/acts_as_tree/README'. Cannot bind.
Resetting 'braid/track' to '7bbb42d6e578403754a4b560d69f8b294e29d762'.
Checking out 'master'.
It's always the bind issue.

closing this since braid changed a lot since then, if error still exists, please add another bug
